Day 1 : Arrive Chennai – Mahabalipuram (50 Kms drive)

Arrive at Chennai airport and transfer to Mahabalipuram. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 : Mahabalipuram – Pondicherry (100 Kms drive)

Breakfast in the hotel, later a sightseeing tour of Mahabalipuram visiting shore temples, five rathas, Arjuna's Penance, etc., later drive to Pondicherry. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3 : Pondicherry – Kumbakonam (175 Kms drive)

Breakfast in the hotel, later a sightseeing tour of Pondicherry visiting Auroville, Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Botanical Garden, Church, Temple, Beaches etc. Drive to Kumbakonam. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4 : Kumbakonam – Madurai (190 Kms drive)

Breakfast in the hotel, A sightseeing tour of Tanjore visiting The Brihadeshwara Temple also known as The Big Temple, The Rajah's Palace also known as the Tanjore Palace.

Drive to Madurai. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. Visit Thirumalai Nayak Mahal palace which was partially destroyed, later in the evening you will be transfered to the Sri Meenakshi temple by an auto-rickshaw to see the evening Aarti. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5 : Madurai

Breakfast in the hotel, visit the Sri Meenakshi Sundareswarar temple, which will be an opportunity to discover the Hindu mythology and the foundations of the world's oldest religion. Continue with a visit to the Gandhi Museum. Free afternoon. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6 : Madurai – Thekkady (140 Kms drive)

Breakfast in the hotel, later drive to Thekkady. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 7 : Thekkady

Breakfast in the hotel. Later a boat ride on lake periyar, enjoy Elephant ride with elephant bathing (2 hours) at the Elephant junction where one can feed, bath see the Training and commands of the Elephants. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 8 : Thekkady – Alleppey (160 Kms drive)

Breakfast in the hotel, later drive to Alleppey and board the Houseboat. Passing near Cheriyapally. The St. Mary church built by the Portuguese with the assistance of a Hindu raja. As well as Thazhathangady Juma Masjid by Autorickshaw. Overnight at the houseboat.

Day 9 : Alleppey – Cochin (66 Kms drive)

Breakfast in the houseboat. Drive to Cochin and transfer to the airport to board the onward flight.
